Recruitment at Hyundai: Fair, Human and Without Unnecessary Formalities

🚀 How your journey to Nošovice begins

More than 2,700 people work in Nošovice, and there are plenty of opportunities. We are looking for capable candidates who are a good fit for us professionally and personally. Both matter equally to us.

The recruitment process differs depending on whether you are applying for a production role or a more specialised position. In this article, we focus mainly on interviews for specialist roles. More information about production positions can be found HERE. You can also watch a short video where our operators share how they perceive their work.

📋 Positions and applications

The best overview of currently open positions can be found directly on our career website. That is why we always recommend applying for a specific role there. If you do not find a position that suits you at the moment, you can leave us your contact details and profile for the future. We will get in touch as soon as a suitable opportunity appears.

📞 The first phone call

During the phone call, we verify your basic suitability for the role. We talk a bit more about your motivation, achievements and, of course, check your level of English. If everything fits, we will invite you to a personal meeting with us in Nošovice.

🚗 Your visit to our site

At the reception, someone from our HR team will be waiting for you and will walk with you to the offices. We will have coffee, tea or water during the interview, and everything takes place in a calm and friendly atmosphere.

🤔 What we ask and why

We talk about your experience. Not only what is written in your CV, but also situations you have actually handled. For example:
  • What helped you grow or surprised you in your previous job?
  • Which project are you most proud of?
  • Describe a situation where you proposed or implemented a process improvement. What was the result?
We use so called behavioural questions that show how you think and how you react in real situations.
The interview always includes the team leader, who will explain what the role looks like in everyday practice. There is also space for technical or professional questions.

👕 What should you wear?

Even though we are a corporate company, we do not expect a suit or high heels. Unless it is a managerial role, trousers or a skirt combined with a shirt, blouse, sweater or polo shirt are perfectly fine. What matters most is that you feel comfortable and look neat.

🧩 Tests, practical tasks and a second round

Each position is a bit different.
  • Production, maintenance, logistics: Reading technical drawings, electrical schematics and possibly working with data in Excel.
  • Finance, purchasing, sales, administration: Short data tasks in Excel or thematic assignments related to the field. For example, in PR this may include a social media post or a proposal for promoting a CSR activity.
  • Managerial roles: Performance tests and personality questionnaires.
If needed, we will arrange a second round. This is usually more informal. We often also visit the production area so you can see the environment where you would work.

⏳ How long does the process take?

Typically:
  • response to your CV within one week
  • personal interview lasting 60 to 90 minutes
  • second round or plant tour around one to two hours
  • overall duration from two weeks up to one month, depending on the role
If we reach an agreement, we send you the offer by email so you can read it carefully. We then confirm the start date and complete the administration quickly and smoothly.

🔔 When will I receive feedback?

Most often, you will receive feedback within one to two weeks. Sometimes the recruitment process may take longer. In that case, we stay in touch, and you are always welcome to contact us as well.

🔄 I was not selected. Do I still have a chance?

Yes. Even if it does not work out the first time, we may contact you later if a position matching your profile becomes available. Everyone receives feedback explaining how the interview went and the reasons behind the decision.

💡 What to take away from this

The interview is mainly about getting to know each other. It is just as important for you to learn as much as possible about us, about working in Nošovice and about the people you would be part of the team with.
We know that one hour is not enough to get to know each other fully. That is exactly why everyone at Hyundai has a three month probation period. It is a fair space for both sides to make sure that working together makes sense.
We look forward to meeting you.
